Spring Pond Clean-Up – Postponed (again) to Monday, May 28
The pond clean-up will be held Memorial Day Monday, May 28 from 10am-2pm. Fingers crossed for a dry day!
Spring Pond Clean-Up – Postponed to Sunday, May 20
Due to the weather forecast, the pond clean-up will be postponed to Sunday, May 20 (weather permitting). Stay tuned for an update!
Spring pond clean-up
Date: Saturday, May 19 (rain date: Sunday, May 20)
Time: 10am – 2pm (come for as little or as long as you can!)
Location: Oak Knoll (Road) Pond
Join your neighbors in getting the pond ready for summer – we will rake weeds, collect debris, weed the beach, and clear out invasive or spiky plants. Wheelbarrows, canoes, tarps, rakes, shovels, clippers, etc. will be needed that day.
Refreshments and babysitting will be provided by the Association. Come see your neighbors after the long winter!

2018 Echo Hill North Annual Meeting
The Board will hold its Annual Meeting on Monday, March 5 at the Amherst Women’s Club on Triangle Street. All EHN members and interested parties are welcome. Snacks and desserts will start at 6:30 pm, followed by the meeting. Additional agenda items may be submitted for consideration to Board President, Krisztina Filep.

Upcoming Fall Events
Saturday, Sept. 16 – Neighborhood tag sale. Confirm your participation by Sept. 9.
Saturday, Sept. 23, 4-7 pm – Fall picnic/pot luck at the Oak Knoll pond. Please bring your favorite appetizer, side dish, salad or dessert. The EHN Association will provide hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks. This is a great time to get to know new neighbors and catch up with old friends, while enjoying delicious food!
Pond water test results (summer 2017)
As of August 11, our pond water is in good shape. The E.Coli is a bit higher than we have seen but is normal given the high use and is not of concern at this time.
Detailed results in table below. Max EPA recommended level for E.Coli is 235 (drinking water should be under 1), no recommendation for phosphate. Last year’s comparable time values in ().

Pond Clean-up and First Swim 2017
Thank you to the many, many EHN residents who came out on this beautiful day and once again helped make the clean-up a success! It was wonderful to see everyone working hard to make our pond and beach beautiful for another season. Of course, it isn’t a clean-up without swimming (no matter what the water and air temperatures are), and kids also worked on road signs. Thank you again and again and ENJOY! Special thanks to Faythe for getting the food, and Sophie and Hanna for entertaining the younger children.
